Add a Google Map, Yahoo Map or Bing Map

Google My Business

This page will guide you through the simple process of adding an interactive clickable map to your recruitment website.

You can embed a map from your preferred map provider, including:

  • Google Maps.
  • Yahoo! Maps.
  • Bing Maps.

You could add a map showing the your office location address, or perhaps add a map showing the area where you provide a recruitment service.

In summary, all you need to do is get the code from your map provider and then add that code to your web page using the step-by-step guide provided on this web page.

Firstly Locate Your Map on Google Maps

  • The first step is to get your map on screen in Google Maps. For example, enter your post code or zip code.
  • Next, click 'SHARE'.
  • Now click 'EMBED MAP'.
  • You can select the 'Small', 'Medium', 'Large' or 'Custom size'.
  • 'Small' or 'Medium' is a good size, in our opinion.
  • Now copy the Google code, ready to add to your web page (please see below).

How to Add a Google Map to your Web Page

Here are the steps for adding a clickable Google map to your web page:

  • If you are editing a 'Page' or a 'Gallery' item, just click the small 'HTML' button (on the right-hand side).
  • Now 'Paste' your Google code into the window.
  • Click 'Update' and 'Save' (at the bottom).
  • And that's it! Now you should preview your website to see the results.

Using London as an example, we have added a demonstration Google Map below:

How do I Control my Location on Google Maps

Originally known as 'Google Places', you can set this up using 'Google My Business' and this service puts your business information and address on Google Search, Google Maps and also Google+.

If you are not signed up to 'Google My Business', you can still embed your Google map using your post code or zip code, using the tips provided above.

What about Adding a Yahoo! Map?

The process of inserting a map from Yahoo is exactly the same as Google or Bing i.e. locate your map on Yahoo, click 'Share', get your code and then paste it onto your recruitment web page at QuickontheNet.com.

Using Sydney as an example, we have added a demonstration Yahoo! Map below:

What about Adding a Bing Map?

Similarly, the process of embedding a map from Bing is exactly the same as Google or Yahoo i.e. locate your map on Bing, click 'Share', get your code and then paste the code onto your job site web page at QuickontheNet.com.

Using New York as an example, we have added a demonstration Bing Map below:
